Hello! We are hoping to find snow up north!!! Has anyone been to Whistler? We are heading up (from Puyallup/Seattle) in a few weeks and are hoping to keep our drive to 6 hours or so. Does anyone have tips on where to go from here and where to stay? We were hoping to rent a private cabin where we could ride in/out. There are 4 very anxious snowmobilers in our group. Any info would be appriciated. Thanks!!!

We have had reports from others in the whistler/pemberton area that snow is VERY light up there.

I have heard though that there is some great snow up in the coquahala area...

Maybe call the whistler area you are going to to ask them to be sure, cause i have read others saying they where lucky to ride on a couple inches of snow there.

Very weird if you ask me. Usually they have tons, but the weather has been strange up there.

Call to be sure!

Hey, Hey, Deejay... thanks for the info. I think we will head up your way in a few weeks. I will keep on checkin' the weather, anything you guys have is better than what we've got down here in Washington...

Whistler is a total washout so far. Coquihalla good earlier on and likely will be with a little snow. Good place to stay and ride from is coquihalla lakes lodge. Check their web site at www. coquihallalakeslodge.com
From there, only a short drive to Vernon, Enderby, Sicamous etc.

Thanks for the info. I checked that website and shot them an e-mail requesting current information. On the webcams the snow looked pretty dismal!! I think we will be heading up to Vernon Feb 10-14th, hopefully the riding is worth it. We are hoping to hook up with anyone who wants to ride that weekend!! The more the merrier, right? Thanks again.

be sure to check out Greystokes if you go through kelowna, lots of open meadow so you can always find some fresh, and many lakes to settle who's fastest, well marked trail system(GPS points and position markers), and a couple peaks for the climbers glory and 360' views. They even groom sometimes!

Greystokes is good on good days... (like pretty much everywhere else right?)

Park/nelson in vernon-lumby i think is better though!
(less people, better snow)

I've already blocked off Sunday for a ride there... Will prob meet at the Shell in Lumby (East of vernon on Hwy 6) at around 9am... (I hate getting up too early! haha)

I drive a big black excursion and will have two sleds on the trailer.
