Thinking of Hunters range or Park Nelson for the 29 or 30th? Any local riders, is it worth the drive? Thanks

Thank you for the replies Deejay and Rapptorracing. Just talked to someone in Vernon earlier today who suggested wait another week. He had been on back side of silver star and said the base is not great. They even had rain up there, though now getting colder. Instead, I will be up in Vernon on February 4-6, so would love to get together with either of you for a ride one of the days.Would be great to meet a few locals.Should be back to normal conditions hopefully by them. The season on the coast is depressing right now. Had a few great days on the coke before the thaw.I stay in Coldstream when in Vernon. Let me know if you are game. I have been to both areas and both are ok when conditions are good. Cheers

I have found that you cant really judge the snow in the mountains from what happens at silverstar. SS is usually a lot crappier than the sled area's

I wanted to go this weekend, but I forgot i have some work to take care of (argh!)

I am free next weekend though... So maybe a ride to park/nelson would be cool. I think the guys from the shop may be out that weekend too, and they go to real great places. We'll see whats up...

Deej: I will be in Vernon Friday, pm. Will be skiing sovereigh lakes on saturday and maybe doing some kite skiing on Swan lake if conditions are right. Ready to ride on sunday. I drive a silver 4runner with double Triton trailer and polaris 800 on it. Email me and I can give you my cell number. Let me know where you want to go and where to meet. Lumby might be a good bet. Thanks
