Anybody ride there very much? My brother and I are thinking of heading there the middle of April. Would appreciate any info on snow conditions there and what it might be like in just under a month.

If nobody has any info on Invermere, does anybody else know somewhere that will still have lots of snow towards the middle of April that isn't an unreal distance from Southern Alberta?

Try the Fernie area. We normally sled there well into June most years. If you give the guys at Ghostrider Motorports a call Im sure they will give you an update on conditions. Happy sledding!

I just drove from Vernon to calgary the other day and there is still lots of snow up in golden...

Matter of fact, i couldnt stop looking at all the snow up on the mountains the whole way here. Revy was still lookin good too, although thats farther... But golden was looking ok too. Still snow down in the valley, and from the highway, the peaks looked covered good still too.

Apparently there is supposed to be some very good riding down in Invermere (where exactly I don't know,...haven't ridden there yet), you could try the Crowsnest Pass (I ride there alot), Fernie, Alexander Creek, Cranbrook, Etherington/Cataract Cr., Corbin.

Forester & Horsethief Creek Area out of Radium (4 way stop signs). They Groom (once and a while) and I believe about a 20 km trip in from the staging area. They (Windemere/Invermere Club) have a nice Cabin, some nice meadows (if it has fresh POW) and some good hills to highmark (the lakes) if I remember correctly.

So James, have you been riding around the Crowsnest yet this year? We are thinking about heading out this Saturday if we hear of some decent snow.

No I have not ridden the Crowsnest Pass this year (or anywheres else),.......save yourself the huge disappointment and head out to Revy or Golden (where I hear the snow is).
Edit: The snow doesn't even cover the roads down in the Crowsnest Pass.

Revy and golden are doing well right about now from what I have seen and heard lately.
